It is a fresh rebuild without a mile on it. The rotating assembly has been balanced along with the flexplate. The oiling system has been fully worked so this engine will tolerate higher RPMs, and shows 75 pounds pressure with a hand drill. These engines were notorious for starving the rear main, at higher RPMs, because of their badly designed factory oiling system. The pistons are forged, and the rod beams have been smoothed as seen in the photo along with ARP rod bolts. Roller timing chain and an aluminum intake. The oil pan is chromed with a baffle plate at the bottom. The heads have been ported, along with the combustion chambers, with a full valve job of course. The rods and mains are 0.002 clearance with the crank turned 0.010 for both the mains and rods. The Lunati cam is now listed as #10320503 (2500-5500 rpm range, 0.530 lift intake and exhaust), high volume oil pump also. The block, and heads, surfaces has been planed to provide a flat mating surface for the also planed head surface=minimal possibility of a head leak as most of these older engines have a good 0.005-0.020 warpage 30-40 years after production. Also note how the outside of the block, and valley under the intake, have been gone over to allow better oil return and cosmetics. Also worth mentioning is the heads pedestal mounts have been cut down to fit screw-in studs along with 1.72 full roller rocker arms. I have a rear sump pan-oil pump-oil pump pickup should one want to run it in a truck. There's also a cast-iron bell housing-flywheel (balanced with the engine rotating assembly)-CenterForce clutch and pressure plate if interested.
