JOB OPPORTUNITY - AUXILIARY (This is a Union position) Posting Number #2019-71A PROGRAM ATTENDANT- LICENSED CARE Paddington Station ______________________________________________________________ Applications are invited for an on-call auxiliary position at our Paddington Station Day Care. The successful candidate will have the energy and enthusiasm to provide varied and enjoyable activities, combined with the ability to work with the children, parents and staff in a friendly and effective manner. Duties include set up and clean up, guiding children and assisting in the program, which may include circle and art time as needed. Qualifications: * Possess a license to practice as an Early Childhood Educator, or an Early Childhood Educator Assistant in British Columbia; * Ability to work as an effective team member; * Ability to work with a flexible schedule; * Must meet Vancouver Island Health Authority licensing requirements for Criminal Record check, Doctor's note and current First Aid and CPR; * Provision of a current Police or RCMP Criminal Record check. Rate of pay: $16.19 per hour + $2.27 per hour in lieu of benefits Hours: This is an on-call position to cover for vacation and sick relief.
