$175 · 1970's MIJ PEARL SNARE DRUM

This Pearl steel shell snare drum was made in Japan in the 1970's. The drum has a chromed steel shell with 10 double ended lugs. The chrome finish is in overall good condition, with just a few very minor scratches to the shell. The original internal tone control is present and works well. Gladstone style snare throw works smoothly, but has a little dimpling to the chrome finish. The butt end is the adjustable version. The drum has a nearly new Remo snare side head and a new Evans G1 batter head. the snare wires are new replacement Gibraltar, and since the pix were taken I have replaced the plastic snare ties with ribbon, producing a much more mellow tone. The drum has a wide tuning range and sounds great. I'm in Nanaimo but can meet a serious buyer in Duncan.
