Family owned, dealer serviced till 2020, and with over $2000 in refurbishments just completed last week, this is a classic road trip vehicle with a well-earned reputation for reliability and Swedish longevity. Our model is somewhat rare, has the go west touring package with heavy duty canvas seats (also quite rare and they don’t disintegrate like the leather ones), factory roof racks, factory dog gate, trailer hitch, rear jump seats (with which you can carry seven passengers in a pinch), 17 inch sport wheels, rear spoiler and more. It runs like a dream, delivering decent gas mileage while not sacrificing performance. The rear seats fold completely flat, creating well over 6 feet of stowage (or camping space). Report Card: 1) Exterior - 9/10 - absolutely no rust!! Very few dings, paint still shines up astoundingly for a 25 year old car. Just a bit of clear coat peel around the rear spoiler 2) Interior and Aesthetics - 8.5/10 - also very good. Seats, dash, carpets are all in excellent original condition. Windshield has a 10 inch crack, but it’s not a horrible one. 3) Mechanical - 9/10. Hard to fault with the recent work just completed. Work includes: new struts and coil springs (very expensive on these!), new brake lines/flex hose, sway bar links, rotors, power window motor and battery. At 288,000kms, this go-anywhere wagon has lots and lots of kms. left and many adventures ahead. It's raring to go and ready to hit the open road this summer!
