$100 · Hand forged Wetterlings Swedish Forest Axe

Since 1880, Wetterlings carried the reputation of producing some of the finest axes in the world. The company went out of business around 3-4 yrs ago, and, these axes are now hard to come by, especially one like this—their most popular model as well as one in mint condition. Using a power hammer, the high carbon Swedish steel was hand forged, not cast, and then heat treated to 58HRC. The handle is 26” long made of genuine American hickory. The sheath is an oil tanned heavy leather with snap. I placed the paracord at the neck to provide protection to that part of the handle often damaged. At the time during the production years these axes retailed from $225-$250 + taxes.
