Vancouver A Life: 1757-1798 by George Godwin. 1st edition US hardcover with small section of rare original dust jacket underneath protective plastic cover. Tiny "David Spencer Limited Vancouver" label near bottom of last page. 308 pages, published in 1931 by D. Appleton & Company, NY. The book includes 10 illustrations, one of which is a diagram of the Discovery. There are three charts/maps, one of which fold-out and one which is removable and contained in a pocket at back of the book. The blue cloth cover has some very light wear but the binding is sound. The front end paper includes a personal library label and notes in pencil from the bookseller I purchased the book from. The inside is clean and the charts are in excellent condition.
