This listing is for those who appreciate fine historical 19th century glassware which is original and not reproduction. I have been collecting this glassware for the past 62 years and because of health reasons, have decided to pass my passion of collecting on to another as caring as I. This decision to break up the collection is not an easy one as I would rather see the collection remain in its' entirety but I realize the financial situation that exists with many in present times and to this end I am willing to make this concession. Because the collection contains so many pieces, a great number of single listings would be necessary requiring a great amount of time in order to post, so if you would care to investigate a particular piece, I would be more than happy to provide you with an in person appointment to view items of you choosing at your convenience. The Lion Glass Pattern was manufactured by William T. Gillinder and Sons in Philadelphia, PA in 1876 for the Centennial Exposition. The complete history and provenance will be provided as well as a black light photo of the particular piece showing its' green fluorescence to prove originality. The multi item picture posted does not show additional pieces of a particular item such as the water goblet of which there are 4. Many of the pieces range from scarce to extremely rare and the individual prices are a reflection of this rating. Some pieces at auction have brought as much as $30,000. in a West Virginia Auction a few years ago. The Powder Jar shown in the bottom line in the picture is Extremely Rare and is valued at $3,000. and the Rare Syrup Jug with Pewter top at $1,500. Both pieces are pristine.
