Looking for a new roommate! Showings available this long weekend! We are a duo of young professionals, one dude (39), and one gal (26) sharing a beautiful 3 bedroom house near Thetis Lake in View Royal. The two of us get along famously and there's a lovely VIBE in the house we are looking to preserve. We both have serious partners who live elsewhere but visit no more than once or twice a week or who we go to stay with. Also we both have extremely demanding work schedules so the right roomie will thrive with extremely chill and respectful weeknights with quiet time starting at 8:30pm. A very nice dog and cat also live here so we hope you like pets but we aren’t looking for more. All utilities, Hydro, Internet, natural gas and water are extra but because the house is quite efficient and we split them with the couple in the separate garden suite downstairs they are pretty reasonable. A bit about the house itself: - Detached heritage style newer home up on a hill right near Thetis Lake. - Well built and maintained with modern amenities and lots of natural light. - Private back yard backing on to a forested park with walking trails. - Natural gas BBQ - Private washer and dryer. - Large kitchen with quartz countertops and all stainless steel appliances including dishwasher and gas range. - Doors separate the west facing dining and living rooms from the casual family room and kitchen, or left open for a more breezy connected feel. - There's a little deck off the living room with very dreamy sunset views. - Big driveway, room for your car. No street parking but guest parking nearby. - Phenomenal downstairs neighbours and very pleasant neighbourhood, we're on a no-through-street subdivision of similar family homes with suites to the north. - Absolutely positively no smoking indoors! A little bit about your bedroom: - 11' x 12.5'. - Carpeted. - Nice windows, facing east toward the back yard and park. - Very quiet. - Good sized closet. - Full bathroom (including tub!) that you would share with the other gal only. Location: - 8 minute walk to Thetis Lake - 10 minute walk to the 6 Mile Pub and private ocean walk ways - 20 minute drive to downtown - Close to buses - A quick drive up to the Colwood Strip, West Shore Rec Center, Save-On-Foods, Thrifty Foods, Quality Foods or jump on the highway for a few minutes to Costco, the house has a membership! We value a well-kept home, the bathrooms and floors are cleaned professionally once a month and we stay on top of everything else. We like to have friends over once in a while on weekends for meals, movies or games but no wild parties (unless mutually agreed upon but even then very rarely!). We're looking for low-key but fun individual to enjoy and respect this wonderful place. We strive to strike the balance of being great friends who enjoy each other socially and also give each other space, respecting boundaries and doing our own thing. We’re into sharing meals, watching shows together and spending evenings chatting in the yard when schedules allow.
