$1,500 · Single woman looking for a home

Hi, I'm looking for a basement suite or apartment, for myself and one elderly cat. I'm 40/female, recently out of a long term relationship, and looking for a place to settle down in. I work at VGH as a Clerk in the surgical department. I'm very well organized, and tidy. I'm an introverted home body, who is very quiet. I've had landlords tell me that the only way they knew I was home is when my car was there. I'm looking for a one bedroom or studio that is large enough for me to set up my sewing machine so I can take in mending, etc. I have a great relationship with my current landlord, the only reason I'm leaving is because after my partner and I broke up, I can't afford the rent by myself.
