$300 · Boxed Set of Six Shelley Demitasse in Sterling Holders - Dated 1920

Shelley China, Made in England set of six yellow and white demitasse cups and saucers, each in a Birmingham Sterling Silver holder. The hallmark dates this set to 1920. The saucers are 4 1/2" diameter and the cups are 2" diameter and 2 1/4" tall. One cup has a tiny, tiny chip which appears to have been repaired (good paint match - see third picture showing repair on rim) and a few of the saucers have some very minor spot discoloration otherwise all in extremely nice condition. I have cleaned the silver but have not attempted to clean the china; I don't want to remove the finish. What makes this set unique is that it comes in the original storage/display box. Complete with original hinges, front clasps and a nice padded underside of the lid. Also some age discoloration (see pics). A must-have for any serious Shelley China collector. Very nice condition considering that it is over 100 years old.
