Maverick - Rottweiler Dog

Maverick is a bouncy young puppy who is still learning his manners. Having missed out on early training, Maverick will take a little longer to get the hang of some basic commands but should have no trouble learning with proper incentive (treats!) and training! Maverick has been known to resource guard food, this is where a dog guards an object out of fear it may be taken away. We would highly encourage Maverick's new guardian to work with an AnimalKind Accredited trainer on this behaviour. Maverick can be a little mouthy when he's excited, with patience and training he will pick up on his proper manners in no time! Maverick was found on the side of the road unable to walk or move his hind legs. He made a miraculous recovery with supportive care at the vet. We've done a consult with a neurologist and are unable to pinpoint the exact reason that Maverick temporarily lost mobility. The neurologist suggested that Maverick be closely monitored and participate in physio in case his loss of mobility was caused by an injury. Thank you for your interest in adopting from us!
