Journeyperson Carpenter

We are a successful, busy construction company and are currently looking for two individuals to join our team. This position is best suited for persons who have completed their Journeyman Carpenters Certification. Responsibilities: - Work to complete the project on time and on budget - Knowledge of the full range of materials, methods and tools involved in construction projects - Maintains ongoing communication with the Foreman - Carries out the implementation of management decisions such as construction methods, schedule, quality and safety - Reads and interprets drawings, blueprints and specifications Requirements: - Must hold a valid Journeyperson Carpenter certificate - Must have current Fall Protection, and Aerial Lift certificates -Ability to recognize potential problems and report them -Knowledge of trade mathematics and imperial and metric measurements -Knowledge of the characteristics of construction materials and their proper use -Work at heights -Describe and point out safety compliance and regulatory issues - Good communication and interpersonal skills with both peers and supervisors Qualifications: - Education background normally equivalent to high school is required. - Able to operate all hand and power tools required to perform tasks specific to trade. - Able to demonstrate organizational, time-management and decision-making skills. - Able to work in a fast paced, deadline driven setting. - Able to safely and comfortably carry out physical duties. - Attention to health/safety of self and co-workers.
