We are looking for a full-time, Monday to Friday Payroll Clerk/Administrator to work in our busy local accounting firm. Duties: • Responsible for the timely and accurate payroll processing in Paymate software for various clients • Setup/termination of employees in Paymate • Understanding calculation of labour hours, vacation pay, statutory holidays • Calculate and remit payroll source deductions on a monthly basis • Prepare T4s and various software generated reports • Prepare ROEs online • Ensure compliance with applicable federal/provincial laws, regulations, rules, standards • Perform other accounting duties such as bookkeeping, GST and PST remittances, WCB, and EHT. Qualifications and Skill Requirements: • English, as well as Mandarin and/or Cantonese speaking an asset. • Minimum 1 to 2 years previous payroll experience • Completion of level 1 and 2 accounting courses or equivalent accounting experience • PCP certificate is an asset • Experience with Paymate or other similar payroll systems • Knowledge of the Employment Standards Act and the BC PIPA • Proficiency in MS Office Suite with advanced Excel skills Please email cover letter and resume to alc869@gmail.com and only those short-listed will be contacted.
