2000 was the first year that Sacagawea dollar coins were minted. The eagle is on the front of the coin, Sacagawea (1788-1812), a Shoshone Native American, is shown with her son Jean Baptiste Charbonneau on the other side. She was a translator and guide to the Lewis and Clark expedition. Circulated, gold color.
