Deli Manager

Red Barn Market is looking for a highly motivated individual with a prior Deli experience and a sense of drive and ambition to join our team at our new Sandown location in North Saanich. As the Deli Manager, you will lead our deli department, overseeing daily operations, managing staff, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety, quality, and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities: - Team Leadership: Supervise and train deli staff, ensuring efficient workflow, proper training, and adherence to company policies. - Team Management: Schedule shifts, hire staff and train new staff. - Customer Service: Interact with customers, address inquiries. - Product Management: Manage inventory, product storage, order supplies, and maintain optimal stock levels for deli items. - Food Preparation: Prepare Sandwiches pizza, salads, hot food and more. Prepare and package deli products. - Food Safety and Sanitation: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, proper food handling, and sanitation practices. Maintain inventory levels of food and non-food items such as packing and cleaning supplies. - Inventory: Maintain inventory levels of food and non-food items such as packing and cleaning supplies - Quality Control: Monitor product freshness, presentation, proper rotation and overall quality. - Stocking and Display: Arrange and replenish deli case displays, ensuring items are well-presented, labelled, and merchandised well. Ensure accurate pricing and labelling of products. - Financial Management: Track sales, analyze performance, and contribute to budget planning.
