From its humble beginnings as a honey and fruit spread, to savoury and sweet jams and preserves of today, jams continue to be a popular condiment. A great way to use fruit from the fruit trees and bushes in the garden. This 2 hr workshop will demonstrate how to make a recipe of each fruit and savoury jam. Participants will learn the process and preparation of making jam, ingredients used for the process, and how to preserve the jam into jars. Participants will have an opportunity to taste samples of the jams and foods made with jams. Sunday June 2nd, 1:00PM - 3:00PM *Take home sample of local honey and fresh herbs to create a condiment for your next home trial of making jam.
