About this role We are recruiting for a Project Manager/Estimator to join our Construction group in Burnaby focused on Commercial, Institutional, and Residential projects. The Project Manager/Estimator is responsible to lead all aspects of the job. This includes the estimating, project planning, labour management, procurement, billing, communications, and wrap up of each project. Your responsibilities * Work with clients and identify potential business opportunities * Estimate projects and submit tenders * Review contracts for onerous clauses and conditions * Maintain good relationship with suppliers, consultants, general contractors and end users * Manage project financials (including billing), purchasing, schedules and labour * Mitigate project risk, deficiencies and estimate changes as needed * Work with internal stakeholders, field staff and customers, to ensure projects remain on track, on budget and meet expectations * Be present on jobsites when required and review project upon completion to discuss success and challenges * Review the project at completion with the foreman and superintendent to discuss successes and challengesYour experience and skills * Electrical trade certificate, Electrical Engineering degree or Electrical Technologist diploma/certificate * 2 years’ experience in Electrical Project Management and/or Estimating * Previous experience with estimating programs, specifically Accubid (Accubid Pro and Change Order) an asset * Good computer skills including MS Office, Procore, AutoCAD ZOOM, etc. * Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills * Strong communication and team working skillsAbout Houle As BC’s leading electrical contractor and systems integrator, we believe in delivering safe, reliable power for the future.
