Shop Coordinator

Northern Tropic Homes Ltd is looking for a Full Time Shop Coordinator to join our growing team. QUALIFICATIONS: Experience in carpentry, glass glazing, or general trades understanding is desired/beneficial. Must be able to work in a fast pace environment, both indoors and outdoors. Must be organized and demonstrate ability to set priorities. Excellent communication skills Effective problem solving abilities Demonstrated reliable attendance and punctuality. Must be able to stay focused and on task without direct supervision Must be comfortable moving/lifting heavy items Must have a valid Drivers License. (Vehicle not required.) Comfortable moving work trailers - or willing to learn JOB DETAILS: Coordinating with site crews/teams about materials and equipment. Coordinating with office to prepare for upcoming projects. (i.e. materials, equipment, etc.) Receiving deliveries at shop or at sites. Doing material runs/pick ups for site crews/teams as needed. (Comfortable going to hardware stores to grab items if needed) Handling and preparing lumber. I.e. sand, stain, router. (Can follow safety procedures in regards to using tools and stains.) Ensure lumber stock is replenished, with enough time for kiln drying and prep. work. Maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Assisting at sites on large projects or when short staffed (if needed) Completing "odd jobs" as needed.
