$22 · Painter and Decorator

We are seeking individuals that are hard working, detailed oriented and willing to work flexible shifts. This position requires the applicant to work in a team environment and individually. This is a full time position, 40 hours per week or more. Painter and decorator should have preferably a minimum of 5+ years, high school is an asset, and a valid driver´s license. Duties include -Measuring surface areas to work out how much paint or wall covering you need -Remove old paint or paper using sanders, scrapes, heat guns, liquid paint removers and steam -Filling holes and cracks and making sure surfaces are level -Preparing surfaces with primer and undercoat -Mixing paint to the right shade, either by hand or using computerised colour-matching equipment -Applying layers of paint and hanging wallpaper following the design -Tidying up after finishing a job -Experience in faux finishes, venetian plaster, ragging, marblezing, and colour wash -Use brush, roll or spray paints, stains, varnishes and other finishes -Prepare surfaces by fixing woodwork, filling or sealing holes, cracks, and washing surfaces -Painting exterior and interior buildings commercial and residential -Experience in scissor lift, boom lift and able to use a harness -Be able to climb a ladder, set up scaffolding Please let me know if you have any questions.
