$200 · Summer Make Camp - Creative camp for kids aged 8-13

Make Camp is a unique camp experience for kids who likes to get crafty! Join us this summer for an inspiring and productive week of needle felting, embroidery, macrame and sewing with special guest instructors! This camp is suitable for ages 8-12. Make Camp Activities: Monday - Needle felting (3D and flat felting) - (Needle felt is the process of interlocking wool fibres by poking with a barbed needle) Make anything from your imagination (animal, character or other object) from wool roving! Tuesday - Hand Sewing & Embroidery with guest artist Katy Biele - Learn the art of freestyle embroidery from a gifted artist with a keen eye for colour and design! Wednesday - Macrame with guest artist Grace Lilly from Knotty and Nice - Try your hand at Macrame with the biggest enthusiast in town! Thursday - Machine Sewing - We're going to take our embroidery and turn it into a bag or pillow! Don't worry if you haven't sewn before, we're going to give you a full introduction! Friday - Choose Your Own Adventure - Taking everything your learned this week into account, you can choose your own project fo the last day of camp. We'll be checking in with you at the end of camp on Thursday to find out what you might like to make so that we can best prepare! All materials and equipment are provided for each project. The group size will be a maximum of 12 kids so there is plenty of one to one help. Make Camp is open to ALL levels of experience. We also have Fashion Camps (ages 12-17) for youth who are confident with basic sewing machine skills. We encourage you to pack snacks and refreshments with your kids as it's much easier to be creative when you have fuel for the brain! We provide water and herbal teas.
