Seller's Note: In 2002, our younger brother began purchasing artist designed dolls in the hopes of becoming a collector and establish a business. Over the course of several years, he developed a fine doll 'library' by purchasing from reputable doll manufacturers and sellers across the USA. Sadly, ongoing health and financial circumstances require his collection be sold. This doll and the others posted are the last of our brother's collector dolls. For those aware of the collector doll business, you can see that the dolls are listed significantly below market price. As his family, we are trying to recoup some of of our brother's investment on his behalf. This exquisite limited edition collector's doll is an amazing tribute to the craftsmanship of Waltershausen, the internationally renowned doll maker city in Germany. Designed by the famous doll artist, Hildegard Gunzel, Daarleen is a rare find. Only 350 Darleen dolls were made in 2003. Made of quality vinyl, she has genuine blonde hair in braids tied at the back with ribbon, and beautiful (glass-blown) eyes. Daarleen wears cambric lace undergarments under a yellow silk dress with frills, a yellow woolen coat with silk collar, cinnamon coloured buttons, and pockets. Brown leather shoes and beige cotton socks complete her outfit. Original price $1025 The doll has been stored in a non-smoking house.
