Offered for sale this, Vintage 1948 Singer Featherweight 221 - Original Top Tray Case - AH Series - USA Made. - With Accessories. The sewing machine had power when plugged in, and seems to run well. Serial Number AH571570 dates this Elizabethport, New Jersey made sewing machine to 1948. Everything appears to be original to the machine, with the electric foot paddle cords showing a bit of age, some minor cuts in the insulating rubber shielding, but no visual breaks to be concerned about. The machine, could benefit from a cleaning and a service, uncertain when the last servicing took place, however it seems like it would continue to work. The case is fitted with a handy tray, and is in good shape, with some age appropriate scuffs and some minor loss of leather on the handle. There is no key for the case latch locks, but the latches do work, the left one needs to be slid back when securing it. Overall this highly collectible Singer Featherweight 221 with all the accessories shown in the photograph, would make a fantastic addition to any home hobbyist.
