Not many people know this but theold PAT-5 was always on when plugged into a live socket. All the power switch did was turn on and off the switched power socket on the back to save costs. With the new power on/off relay board, the power switch is a true on/off switch with delay relay to prevent transient pops from an amp turning on. It is a great improvement... If you are looking for an original working PAT-5, I also have one of those too, for much cheaper with all original boards fully working ($350).
