Merchandiser

We are currently looking for Merchandiser to join a growing warehouse in downtown Victoria! You would be joining a dynamic team with a company that is one of the leaders in foodservice equipment in Canada, where teamwork and resourcefulness are highly valued. This is a temporary to permanent Merchandiser role with an ASAP start date, and the hours of operations are Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm. ADVANTAGES - $20/hour - 4% vacation pay added to every paycheque - Randstad pays weekly - Optional paid benefits through Randstad after your first pay - Work as part of an amazing teamwork environment - Opportunity for long term placement - Opportunity to grow with the company - Transit accessible - Work in downtown Victoria RESPONSIBILITIES -Receive products into the warehouse ensure that the product is correct and in good order; -Matching product received to packing slips, placing the product in the proper location; -Get product to customer from inventory when required as top priority; -Pick, pack, weigh, and label outgoing orders ensuring they are securely packed and labeled properly; -Check inventory to make sure requested product is available; -Review orders for accuracy and completion; -Keep showroom, warehouse and front counter clear from clutter; -Count inventory as necessary; -Assist Showroom with stocking; -Participate in merchandising and promotional activities; -Ensure accuracy in all transactions, inventory, and procedures; -Support cycle counting activities in warehouse and showroom; -Support warehouse when/as needed with various activities; -Ability to work in a fast paced environment. QUALIFICATIONS - Must have at least 2-3 years experience working in a warehouse - Prefered 1 year of shipping and receiving experience - Must be comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs repetitively at times - Must be comfortable working with technology and learning a new inventory management system - Ability to work well independently with minimal supervision. - Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment
