Did you know that Victoria has a Tool Library?? The VTL is a 100% volunteer run community organisation, and aims to be a welcoming community hub where anyone can come to learn, share, borrow, create, and expand what is possible in your home, garden, and neighbourhood. We have an inventory of over 1300 tools available to members based on a low annual membership fee. Everything from woodworking, garden, and automotive tools to sewing and kitchen tools. Our full inventory with pictures can be found on our website: https://victoriatoollibrary.org/, and you can follow us on facebook for regular updates. We're always looking for volunteers to help keep our open hours, repair tools, and keep up our social media. Additionally, we're looking for knowledgable folks in the community who have skills they can share, and we can provide the space, tools, and a small stipend for workshops. We also accept donations of gently-used tools that are missing from our inventory (see the wishlist on our website), so if you're downsizing please get in touch! Certain tools are even eligible to trade for a membership, so you could potentially still access those tools without having to store them. Unfortunately, we can't take every tool with our limited space, so please check the website or email us. We're located at 858 Devonshire Road, open Tuesdays and Thursdays 6pm-8pm, and Saturdays 10am-12pm.
