• 39” high, 30” wide, 22" deep • Has a built-in fan A Blaze King wood stove uses a catalytic converter to re-burn the gasses and particulates that are released from the burning wood. These gasses pass through the catalytic converter, which operates at very high temperatures, allowing efficient combustion – providing fewer emissions, and longer (overnight) burn times. (You can even see the smoke catch on fire as it passes through the converter and re-burns!) If you're an eco-conscious consumer looking for the lowest emission fireplace available, a catalytic wood stove will likely be your best fit. We have had the catalytic converter looked at recently, and it’s still basically in new condition. Because it has a catalytic converter, this wood stove likes well-seasoned wood, and you need to be careful about what you burn. For example it can’t take cardboard or glues or paint, or shiny magazine papers. The stove is extremely heavy, and you would likely need at least three strong people to get it from our house to your car. The cost of the stove new in Victoria (including tax) would be $6822.56, and we are asking $4500 for ours. This is a real Maverik among wood stoves.
