This was the last model of drill press that General manufactured in Canada. Prizing quality and craftmanship, I purchased it new about 15 years ago. It has always been in my home workship and is in excellent condition. There is no rust and no discernable play in the spindle--just as it was when I bought it. As I recall I paid about $1800 for it new, plus another $400 for the rack and pinion assembly to raise and lower the table (after discovering it was an accessory). It has a 3/4 hp, 220v, single-phase Baldor motor. Also included is a linked belt, which reduces noise and, being flexible, permits speed changes without having to move the motor back and forth, and Lee Valley's "large" drill press table and fence for woodworking. I am selling it because I am down-sizing my shop to make room for a CNC router. I frankly don't know what it is worth. I have listed it for a fixed price. If it doesn't sell for that I will lower the price by $100 every so often until it sells. Please respect that it is a firm price and do not offer a lower one.
