Looking for new dragon boat paddlers!

We have 5 weeks and 2 festivals left in our season and are still a bit short due to the COVID hiatus! Looking for strong, fit, reliable, committed and driven people for our womens and mixed teams. Absolutely no experience is needed, you just need to be up to the challenge of getting race ready in a little over a month! We can teach you everything you need to know. Both teams are competitively minded rec crews with a show up, work hard and don't be a jerk/drama queen philosophy. We train at the Fairway Gorge Paddling Centre. We have a great diverse, inclusive group of supportive people, just need a few more! If you're wondering how to connect with a bunch of people, dragon boat is it! Our coach as around 20yrs experience coaching everyone from total newbies through to Canadian National Team athletes and has a strong focus on technique. We train both sides equally. Snappin' Dragons (women) - practice Tues/Thurs 530-7pm, warm up 515pm Paddlers of the Fifth Moon (mixed) - practice Tues/Thurs 7-830pm warm up 645pm Practice is on now until mid Aug, our last races are Aug 6/7 and Aug 13. Even if you can't make both, and want to check it out you're still welcome as we have some missing for either! You're welcome to come try practice for free with no obligation to join at all, if you do want to join, cost for the rest of the season is $150 to cover remaining practices and the races.
