In 1963 Corvette was a brand new and out of the box design that has stood the test of time as one of the most elegant american muscle cars to have ever been produced. With its second generation, C2 body, frame and suspension, Chevrolet had created a new sophisticated sports/muscle car. With an upgraded chassis design these cars handled the road with a new level of comfort and performance. In 1965 there was another new milestone for the Corvette, a big block engine. After trying the 396 in 65, Chevrolet decided to go all out and install the 427 big block in 66. This engine was sold as a 425HP engine for insurance reasons at the time. It is wrapped in beautiful factory original Silver pearl paint. The side pipes sound absolutely spectacular. The torque of this fresh motor is unyielding, and unending. This car still pulls harder than many cars do today. Yet it is a very easy and pleasant car to just cruise around the city in with a reasonable clutch, and a nice accelerator pedal that wont be unruly unless you ask it to. The trans shifts flawlessly, the front end and brakes are fresh. Mechanically, the car is in excellent shape. This car may have never been restored. It has nice paint with only a few small defects on the convertible deck lid.
