We are a medium sized tourism based business with 2 First Nations Art and Jewelry stores . Tourism retail is a fast paced exciting working environment where you get to work with customers who are on holidays. We provide a multi-cultural work environment and have a dynamic training team at Dockside Stores on Government Street in the heart of downtown Victoria. We emphasize having fun with our customers service, great teamwork and good communication between our staff members. We offer mentorship, guidance and a collaborative opportunity for contribution. Duties and Responsibilities: • Serving customers • Perform efficient cash desk sales • Assist end of day cash out which includes: making up a float and closing cash register • Assist in balancing a daily cash report and getting deposit ready for the bank • Ability to prioritize tasks • Ability to learn product knowledge of items sold in the store • Opening and closing stores • Potential to be a key-holder • Flexibility to work in several different stores • Must have a good command of the English language • 2nd language not required but considered an asset • Work closely with store manager in project and task management • Re-stock of products to floor • Display maintenance and general clean up and organizing of clothing racks and hard goods shelves • Meets attendance requirements and is punctual • Enter and sort invoices as needed • Filing Qualifications: The successful candidate must be capable of working under pressure in a team environment and able to work evenings and weekends. Must be comfortable with customers, additional customer service training can be provided Potential for long-term employment and/or weekend shifts year round.
