Little Piggy Catering is hiring cooks! Celebrating 17 years serving Victoria, Little Piggy Catering is ever growing and always interested in meeting with qualified people. Conveniently located in Esquimalt, enjoy a bright and beautiful kitchen, full of happy people. We value diversity in our kitchen - everyone is welcome. The positions involve preparing food for office catering, events, buffet and reception style stand up events, as well as going onsite to events. Onsite work may inlcude BBQ, buffets, family style and plated dinners. No line cooking. The Little Piggy kitchen abounds with natural light, ample space and happy people. These are customer forward positions, you must be presentable and courteous. Shifts are mainly daytime and evening shifts tend to finish by 8-9pm. We operate 7 days a week. Weekend availability is required. Qualifications: -Drivers License preferred -Professional kitchen experience is a must -Culinary education is an asset -Comfort with grilling and carveries is an asset -Must be comfortable taking responsibility for your work, working with limited supervision. -Must be able to work with, and without, formal recipes. -Physical fitness appropriate for kitchen and offsite catering work (extended periods of standing, lifting up to 50lbs etc...).
