This model is of the famous HMS Victory, the flagship of Admiral Horatio Nelson in the battle of Trafalgar. It took hundreds of dedicated hours to build by master jeweler Otto Friedel. It is perfect in every way, the builders skill and attention to detail are phenomenal. It is 36" long, 28" high and 13" wide. She mounts 104 cannons. It sits on an oak pedestal and has a brass plaque indicating her launch date in 1765. It took 150 men 3 years and over 6,000 oak trees to build her. She now lies in her graving dock at the naval museum in Portsmouth.
