Highly adaptable, it produces abundantly in hot dry climates, and has shown increased hardiness over other varieties, withstanding temperatures as low as 5 degrees F (-15 degrees C). Makes a beautiful specimen shrub or small tree. The tree requires full sun and a hot location to thrive. The tree makes a wonderful specimen tree, topiary, or container tree. It is prized for its silver-grey foliage and edible fruit, the spring flowers are inconspicuous.
