Plant: Viola " Johhny Jump Up". Plants are of the pansy family. Flowers of this plant are edible. They are supposedly difficult to grow from seed, so I planted a lot of them. They all came up, now I have too many. There are twenty-three here to give away. Growers notes: These are NOT ready to go into the garden outdoors. They are at the end of the seedlings stage of growth. NEXT they need to be " potted up" soon into larger pots ( three-and a half or four inch) and grown in those for a few weeks as the plants establish robust root systems , and grow in size. Best to do that in a greenhouse or under simple grow lights. I do not know how well they would do in a window sill. They then need to be "hardened off " ( look it up if you don't know this ) before planting outdoors * please don't say you will show up and then don't . That's not cool. The trip to the garbage can for these plants is shorter than wasting my time.
