Hello, my name is Nanny Jaqueline ( aka Nanny J ) I emphasise compassion, respectful manners, art, music, physical and self confidence, language and fun. I seek a balance between limits and freedom, spontaneity and responsibility. I am knowledgeable and experienced with children aged from newborn to school age, being comfortable working one on one and with a multiple sibling group or nanny-share. Children who might be described as “spirited” “challenging” or “highly sensitive” do well in my care. Books, art, nature and physical activity are hallmarks of my nanny practice. I teach compassion and co-operation, kindness and courage. Children are encouraged to participate in household activity according to their level of ability. Our days are a balance between interactive play and independent play with activities both outside and inside the home. While care of children is my priority, I am able to help with laundry, dishes and meal prep as my activities with the children allow. For example, while children are happy with independent play, I can be busy with folding clothes while providing light supervision.
