Are you a person with a disability who enjoys meeting new people and having conversations? Do you want to help make a difference in the lives of individuals in the persons with disabilities community? Would you like to volunteer your time remotely from the comfort of home? If so, then the VDRC Peer Outreach Program has a volunteer opportunity for you! The Peer Outreach Program serves as a way to bring a helpful voice and community connectivity to persons with disabilities experiencing isolation and loneliness. As a Peer Outreach volunteer, you will schedule one-on-one check-ins with individuals who sign up for the program, via phone, email, text, or video call. Volunteers will provide program participants with the opportunity to have some pleasant conversation about whatever is on their mind, or even potentially connect them with any help or resources they may require.
