We are looking for a new board member to lead our Marketing and Communications (MarCom) Portfolio. This position works closely with board members and staff to establish branding, build awareness, and inspire action for people to donate, volunteer and attend our annual performing arts Festival. Traditionally, key activities include: 1. Keeping media and the public aware of Festival through press releases/community service announcements/social media (e.g. Facebook, Twitter) and other appropriate opportunities. 2. Meeting with selected arts media in advance of Festival to build interest/awareness. 3. Sending news bulletins during Festival to media. We are looking for a creative and passionate communicator who shares our aspirations to strengthen our community ties and enable more young people to experience the joy of the performing arts.
