What’s on your holiday shopping list?

With more than 125 exhibitors under one roof, chances are you’ll find it at the Creative Craft Fair, filling Pearkes Recreation Centre, Nov. 8 to 10. Browse among the artists and artisans presenting exceptional crafts, fine art, photography, clothing, glass art, jewellery, bath and beauty products, woodwork, high-quality imports and much more.

“There’s so much choice – people come from all over BC to exhibit,” says show producer Deanna Walters.

Gourmet food continues to be a growing trend, and in addition to sweet treats and savoury delights, this year also brings tastings and sales of locally crafted wine and spirits – ideal as gifts or to complement your holiday entertaining.

Now celebrating its 42nd year, Creative Craft Fairs remains one of Vancouver Islands’ finest and longest-running fairs, attracting thousands of visitors looking for exciting handmade and imported gifts for the holiday season.

An ideal time to shop is Friday November 8th, opening at 11am and closing at 7pm.
  1. Entertaining ideas: Adding to the holiday spirit, special guest Greg Joy will play Christmas, Celtic, Folk-baroque and original music on guitar and hammered dulcimer Nov. 9 and 10.
  2. Giveaways galore: Hundreds of draw prizes will be up for grabs during the three-day show. Be sure to put your name in the bin for the chance to take home a special treat from one of the exhibitors.
  3. Fuel up for fun: With so much to see and do, take time to relax with lunch or a snack at Greek on the Street food area.
  4. Fun for the family: With lots for the little ones too, visit the children’s area.
  5. Easily accessible: The Pearkes venue provides a relaxed spacious environment that is wheelchair accessible. Prefer to visit when it’s a little quieter? Make a plan to shop Friday, when others are working!
Admission is $6 for a single day or $6.50 for the weekend, with children under 12 free when accompanied by an adult. Admission is cash-only, but an ATM is available in the rec centre lobby.
Open Saturday November 9th 10am to 5pm and the last day for enjoyable shopping is SUNDAY NOVEMBER 10th 10am to 4pm
