I bought this classic D-40 from the original owner in 1985. It's been wonderful! I had a stroke last year, that effected my strumming arm, so sadly, it's time to find a new home where, it will receive the respect, and the continued exercise that it thrives on. In the early 90's it developed a crack on the front which was successfully repaired at Old Town Strings (Rick). Has a beautiful resonance, and is very comfortable to play. Serial number 112861 was purchased at Sound Source on Johnson St. June 14th 1975. Comes with the original Guild case, original bill of sale, and a removable Seymour Duncan acoustic pick up with volume control, for those times you really want to crank on it!
