A rare 24-page booklet published by The Tourist Association of Victoria in 1905 to promote tourism, businesses and immigration to the city. Compiled by Herbert Cuthbert and printed by The Colonist presses it features a cover made of card wrapped around 24 glossy pages featuring copy from a previous edition of Picturesque Victoria. The copy on the inside of the front and back cover includes tie-ins to the Portland World's Fair and the Canadian National Fair in New Westminster. The 4.75" x 8.25" booklet includes photographs, statistics, advertising and lots of copy promoting "A Bit of England on the Shores of the Pacific". The book is complete with no missing pages or clips. "July - 1905" is written in pencil on the first page and there is a smudge near the edge of the same page. Otherwise the booklet is in excellent overall condition. A great piece of Victoria ephemera from the early 20th Century.
