Automotive Mechanic

Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full-time (30-40hr/week) Wage: $28.50 per hour Available Positions: 1 Work Location: Aldergrove, BC Company Profile: A-Mack Auto Repairs & Sales Inc. is capable of servicing variety of makes and models of vehicles and perform all sorts of mechanical repairs on alternator, battery, ignition, brakes, shocks, radiator, tires and many more. Job Description and Responsibilities: The company is looking to expand their team with a permanent full-time mechanic, responsible for: – Inspect and test mechanical units, such as engines, transmissions, axles and brake systems, to locate faults and malfunctions – Perform scheduled maintenance services, such as oil changes, lubrications, and tune-ups – Advise customers on work performed, general vehicle condition, and future repair requirements – Examine machines and oversee diagnostic tests to determine functionality problems – Review work order and discuss work with supervisor – Repair or replace mechanical units or components using hand and power tools – Diagnose faults or malfunctions and confirm with supervisor to determine whether to repair or replace unit – Maintain work logs, repair, and maintenance records – Reporting any and all safety issues to the supervisor Skills Requirements: – Completion of post-secondary training courses or mechanical engineering degree – Minimum 2-3 years of mechanic repair experience or an equivalent combination of experience and training – Experience in mechanic and electrical repairs, brake systems, locate faults and malfunctions – Ability and experience to properly conduct hazard assessments and be cognizant of safety issues and concerns – Physical capabilities: comfortable with heights and working with ladders, able to manage heavy loads, physically demanding work, hand-eye coordination, ability to bend, crouch, and kneel for long periods of time Contact information/how to apply: Email resume to: amackautorecruit@gmail.com As an equal opportunity employer we encourage application from all qualified individuals and specifically applicants from traditionally underrepresented groups – including indigenous persons, vulnerable youth, newcomers, and persons with disabilities – who may contribute to the continued diversification of our organization.
