Busy real estate photography company seeking to expand operations with the addition of another person to cover various tasks. The job will be a mix of: - assisting during the day (carrying gear, setting up equipment, transferring files), - operating a 3D camera for virtual tours, - on-the-job learning with the aim of becoming an independent photographer taking on your own photoshoots. Photography experience is not required, though definitely an asset. Quick learning and comfort with handheld technology is a must. Your experience level with photography and how quickly you learn will determine how quickly you’re able to move into a higher-paying role of taking on your own photoshoots. Requirements: - Must have a reliable vehicle and unrestricted drivers license. The job will take you all over the greater Victoria area and suburbs (out to Sooke, Mill Bay, etc). - Clean criminal record check - Open weekday availability, including some occasional evenings. - A strong drive to continually learn and improve skill set. - Professionalism and a positive attitude is a must. - Ability to problem-solve in a constantly changing environment. Assets: - Experience in photography of any variety, and understanding of the exposure triangle - Experience in videography of any variety. - Experience in flying drones and a drone license. Compensation will be hourly with a minimum of 35 hours paid per week. Gas costs will be covered. There will be a base rate for working as an assistant, increasing when you operate the 3D camera or take on your own photoshoots.
