Maximum Prototyping is expanding our advanced manufacturing team. We are looking for a motivated candidate who likes working with machines, enjoys a technical challenge, and has a great mechanical aptitude. The ideal candidate must thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and take pride in their work. The manufacturing technician will use specialty software and a CNC router to carry out a variety of machining tasks. Projects involve machining plastic, aluminum, and wood materials and must be completed with a high degree of precision. We are a small, family-owned business. We believe in supporting our employees and will work with the right candidate to develop a career path that allows for growth in the company. BASIC RESPONSIBILITIES • Setup, operate, (and eventually program) a 3-axis CNC router with minimal supervision. • Continually monitor quality and make necessary adjustments to produce better results. • Inspect and measure finished products to ensure they meet tolerance and finish requirements. • Perform post-production operations (de-tabbing, sanding, packaging) to complete work orders. SKILLS & PREFERRED EXPERIENCE • Experience operating CNC equipment, ideally a CNC router table. • Ability to read and interpret mechanical and architectural drawings. • Proficient in the use of basic woodworking and metalworking tools. • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred. • Must be able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and create efficiencies in repetitive tasks. • Highly motivated with the ability to work independently and as a team member. • Capacity to establish priorities and work under pressure. • Ability to think critically and make sound decisions. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS • Must have good hand-eye coordination and mechanical aptitude. • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. SALARY • Starting wage (3-month probation wage): $18.00 to $20.00 per hour based on experience and skillset. • Regular and accelerated wage increases for employees who continually improve and take on more responsibility. • Will work with the right candidate to develop a career path that allows for growth in the company. SCHEDULE • Part-time; Afternoons, Evenings, and Weekends. Flexible shifts depending on shop demand.
