Sign maker Sign production and office co-ordinator Local, woman-run sign shop seeking a positive, quick-learning, detail-oriented team player to perform sign production and other day-to-day shop duties. This is a full-time, Monday-Friday permanent position. Employee is expected to be available from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. This job is ideal for anybody who has some customer service with the willingness to learn some hands-on skills. Experience is not necessary, as we will train the right candidate. Must be Canadian Citizen or have a valid working visa/permit. Please note only those shortlisted for interviews will be contacted. JOB DUTIES Perform all tasks related to sign production: Cutting, weeding, taping, and applying vinyl on substrates Cutting substrates and preparing surfaces for sign application Greet customers in friendly, positive and respectful attitude Answer incoming and outgoing calls with a professional telephone manner Perform basic office duties (filing, emailing, invoicing, etc) Oversee stock management (includes ordering, shopping, receiving deliveries, etc) Maintain overall shop tidiness and WorkSafe practices Report to management with any updates (orders, progress reports) Perform simple website duties (answering emails, input prices, etc) Assist leaders in other day-to-day operations *** Potential to learn sign design and quotation-building JOB QUALIFICATIONS Valid Drivers License with Clean drivers abstract Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and stand for long periods of time Ability to follow instructions and work independently Strong problem-solving skills Excellent communication skills and proficient in English including reading/writing Ability to implement company standards, policy and procedures, and any provincial/federal rules and regulations Strong time management skills with a sense of urgency Proficient with MS Office Manual dexterity and attention to detail required Customer service experience is an ASSET Knowledge or experience job costing in a similar industry is an ASSET Experience working in a shop environment with hand and power tools is an ASSET Experience screen printing is a BONUS Must like dogs (big and small).
