"Apples Every Day" hardcover book, at Vic High

Book by Grace Richardson was given to me by my best friend when we were 13, in 1969. Lent it to a young friend in spring 2017, and found out in fall 2017 that she took it to school at Vic High, left it in her locker, and lost the contents at the end of the school year when staff cleared all uncleared lockers. She has asked at the school, and we've both searched the school library. Someone has to know what happened to this book.
