This position is funded by Employment and Social Development Canada. The participant eligibility requirements are as follows: • be between 15 and 30 years of age at the beginning of the employment period; • be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment; and, • have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations. Start Date: Late June/Early July 4, 2023 Length of Position: 8 weeks Hours per Week: 35 Wage: $17 an hour Application Deadline: June 14, 2023 at 4:00pm Duties and Responsibilities: • Regularly check voice mail and email on Reception and Parking. • Record and distribute messages to staff as required. • Reply to permit holders to ensure they receive their new/renewed accessible parking placards in a timely manner. • Assist with the monthly mail-outs. This may include printing and folding of documents, stuffing envelopes and/or coordinating volunteers to assist. • Ensure all outgoing Parking Permit mail contains relevant information and documents. • Maintain relations with the VDRC satellite parking permit agencies; • Assist the satellite outlets as required; • Enter data as required; • Maintain front office filing and storage systems; • Keep filing/document management systems for electronic and paper documents organized and accurate; • Maintain the mail logs; • Assist in monitoring office supplies; • Support general reception duties such as phones, processing mail and greeting visitors.
