Little Piggy Catering is hiring a Catering Operations Assistant This is predominantly and office/backend position with some offsite service required. The catering operations assistant works under the supervision of the Catering Manager. Duties are: Making, answering and returning phone call Assisting with pack ups, deliveries and pick ups, offsite setups Assisting with event sales and planning Assist with office administration Coordinating equipment and supplies Procurement and ordering (this may include physically going shopping) Service and coordination at offsite events (weddings, corporate events etc...) Qualifications: Two years related experience Hospitality, culinary or administrative education is an asset Service experience (restaurant, hotel, banquet etc..) Drivers license is mandatory (N is ok) Functional computer literacy and business writing skills Vehicle an asset, but not required (mileage provided). Ability to work independently and with limited supervision Compensation: $18-22 / hr subject to experience, offsite bonus, extended health, vision and dental benefits after probationary period. This position is currently 20-30 hrs a week.
