Duties will include: Plan, develop, and implement combined day long child care programs designed to meet children’s social, physical, intellectual, creative, cultural, emotional and developmental needs in a child care environment Provide opportunity for creative expression through the mediums of art, dramatic play and music Build children’s social, interpersonal skills and self-esteem by establishing routines and using positive guidance to allow children to feel secure, comfortable and safe. Assess the developmental level of children Provide supervision and guidance of daily activities, field trips and special events Establish and maintain good communication with children’s families and community agencies involved in children’s development. Provide diapering care and toilet learning.   Assist in housekeeping duties Qualifications: A valid B.C. License to Practice as an Early Childhood Infant/Toddler Educator ECEIT Certification or Diploma Must meet BC Child Care licensing requirements for valid and subsisting first aid certification Signed authorization to conduct a criminal record check (as required by BC Child Care Licensing Regulation) Knowledge of Emergent curriculum/Reggio/child led philosophies. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively with our team Professionalism when working with staff, families and children at all times
