Out of School Care Manager

Looking for an Out of School Program Manager to keep our out of school program organized! Love to work with kids? Have good people skills? We are looking for someone with an outgoing confident attitude and a healthy lifestyle. Wage is dependent on experience. TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES Program Planning Book field trips and make travel arrangements for outings Develop and print weekly schedules Submit supplies budget and purchase all required supplies Prepare supplies weekly/daily Liaise with community programming partners Keep storage areas organized Program Supervision Ensure kids are enjoying and participating in activities - if not, make necessary changes Provide curriculum specific instruction on sport-specific drills and activities Keep a running inventory of program supplies and equipment Be prepared to use first aid and carry out emergency procedures if required Team Leadership & Administration Coordinate and facilitate all staff training for the program Facilitate weekly check-ins with staff members Be a sounding board for all staff members Prepare staffing schedules Submit bi-weekly time sheets to Office Manager Prepare weekly attendance lists High Level Customer Service Provide support and leadership to team for more difficult behavioural/interpersonal problems that arise Provide quality communication to parents (including, weekly schedule, any follow up that is required from incidents, etc.) Provide help to parents with registration system Bring a creative approach to behaviour management (write behaviour contracts, have special helpers, change group make up, etc) PERSONALITY CHARACTERISTICS Strong leadership abilities Excellent communication skills Quick thinking Energetic & fun loving Enjoys working with children Loves being outside Outgoing REQUIREMENTS: Candidates should be comfortable working with children ages 4 - 12 Class 5 drivers license required Criminal Record Check Standard First Aid and Level C CPR Previous school age programming experience an asset Team leadership experience Self care strategies Employ various problem solving strategies Part-time hours: 20-25 per week Salary: $18.00-$20.00 per hour First Aid/CPR-C (required) Class 5 Driver's License (required)
