Most importantly though, willing to communicate with customers and the rest of the team.A constant concern for food safety and cleanliness is key. JOB DESCRIPTION Meat Cutters are the heart of Carnivore, using great skill, craftsmanship, and care in creating the best meats in town. You are knowledgeable of the basic cuts of meat, and are willing to put in the work to develop your skills. On-site training & knowledge provided. HOURS & PAY • Friday - Tuesday, 9 - 4pm (35 Hours/week) • $18.00 - $19.75 to start • Store credit & discount RESPONSIBILITIES • Keeping the display counters full and fresh • Breaking down primal cuts and whole animals into display cuts • Safe handling of raw meats, knives, and food production equipment • Using and regularly cleaning equipment such as meat saws & grinders • Communicating with other staff about availability of product • Food Production such as sausage and hamburger • Maintaining as clean an environment as possible, regularly sanitizing • Adapting to a fast-paced environment without compromising standards or quality EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS Meat and restaurant experience are valuable, though not essential. Meat cutting at this level is very different from typical kitchen work, and even experienced kitchen hands will need to adapt their skills and learn new ones. There is no room for egos. Must be willing to learn, communicate, and listen. The shop is always growing, changing, and working to get better. We want to help you do the same.
